Savage islands contain lots of higher-level resources and dinos, but they are all unstable. To unlock a higher index, you must reach the appropriate Tamed Island Pioneer Level, Physical Resistance, and complete the Pioneer Mission of the previous index once (does not have to be done every time a new island appears).Īs of July 12, 2019, 1:10 UTC, Savage Islands are closed until further notice. The first index is automatically unlocked. A higher index island means your fatigue rises quicker, indigenous dinos get stronger, the gathering rate is reduced, but you can obtain more Experience and items with better attributes. Unstable Archipelagos are a series of islands within the same sea/biome. Note 2: Some dinos can only be found around craters. Note 1: Due to the random nature of the Islands, not all islands will contain every crater or dino. Hanging around the camp reduces your fatigue gain through the Cozy Status Effect.

There is also a warp hole that can also be warped to for free (when you use the "warp to camp" button, and not through another warp hole). Near the harbor, there is a camp where you can access free workstations and accept/finish tasks from Support Organizations. Resources and dinos unique to the island's biome are everywhere and scale with the island's level (dinos are typically two levels lower than the island except for crater dinos which are one level higher). Mysterious places such as craters, dormant craters, warp holes, and warp energy are found scattered around the island. To gain access to an Unstable Island, your character level must be at least 4 levels lower than the island's level (player lv >= island lv - 4).
